The Beginning - Another Rainy Day in Exe

Hello!

I decided to begin this blog after watching the entire series of Sex and the City (not for the first time) and thinking about how therapeutic writing can be. Somewhat cliched I know, but as I am in the midst of exams you can forgive me for feeling desperate, as I require something really refreshing and exciting to distract me from my revision woes.

Subsequently, before I had time to back out, I signed up to Blogger! And then I was forced to tackle writing some sort of an introduction that (hopefully) isn't just one big word vomit.A nerve-wracking experience to say the least.

It transpires that blogging is highly intimidating.
Hence my first post is dedicated to the drudgery that is my Monday afternoon.

So... I am in chilly Devon. As my housemate constantly tweets, it is sadly #anotherrainydayinexe. I am stuck indoors, with my notes on Modernism and an oversized mug of green tea. My chocolate supplies have already been consumed. It is a slow day.

The story behind my choice of blog name is sadly as dull as this introduction, it was quite literally the first thing to come into my head. At home I have two adorable dogs, called Barney and Spike. Barney is an Old English Sheepdog, and Spike is a little cross between a Jack Russel and Poodle (supposedly). Spike suffers from small-dog syndrome and is constantly climbing up things so that he can watch down on Barney, who is completely oblivious.

I've popped a photo below so you can see how cute they are and perhaps understand, or at the very least forgive, my obsession with them.

I hope this suffices for an introduction, I will be adding another post soon.
